Somehow these lyrics seem more poignant and meaningful posted here in this context than they do in the actual song. Then again, I’m not a fan of Fallout Boy, so what do I know?

My best guess would be someone who perhaps we don’t know very much about, someone who is not alive, but not dead in the traditional sense. Someone who is very important to the Island… who perhaps has sacrificed him or herself in some way.
