  1. Blech, one of the lines from the lyrics of “Lightning Rose” that actually are never curiously sung by the Jefferson Starship.

Nothing personal, Jeremy, but I hate that band (though I very much liked the original Jefferson Airplane).

And I suppose this post is a reference to Rose, because in addition to the musical title’s reference to Rose, Abigail Freemantle is the the African-American spiritual leader of the “good” band of heroes in Stephen King’s novel “The Stand.” And we all know how much the producers and writers of Lost like to refer to Stephen King novels….

  2. As you have witnessed, kind friend, I appreciate many genres. However, there are occasions when the lyrics may be apt, but the artist and song at hand do not necessarily stem from my vast personal collection.

  3. I prefer a little song by Mike Keneally called Lightnin’ Roy…

Which has the following lyrics… (Sung in circular fashion)

    Lightnin’ Roy
    Lightnin’ Roy
    Ran all around
    Til his head was flame
    Went to a bar and
    decided to change his name
    to…

(repeat til you get dizzy and fall down and maybe go to a bar and change your name to lightnin’ roy)

And Monte, nice work up there on the answer.
