		<description>This reminds me a lot of Desmond.  I have not read the book, but it seems that the predicament the time traveler finds himself in is a lot like the predicament that our constant-less Desmond is in.  Also  present in the book is the theme that you cannot change the past, which is something that Faraday has told Desmond.</description>
